It’s been quite a while since I’ve contributed to the cite. Things have been a bit crazy; I won’t bore you with the details. But, I’m back and hopefully will be able to contribute more to the site going forward.
There was some confusion this past spring on my trip to London, and I did not get to attend Comic Con. It was a big disappointment, but I will be back again next year to cover it…fingers crossed. I was invited back to London this past September for a conference. While I was there, an acquaintance, Mick Harris, through a Facebook group mentioned the Museum of Brands and their latest exhibit on some Sci-Fi specific items. It is the “Thunderbirds and Space:1999 – a Celebration of Sci-Fi Toys and Collectables”. Thunderbirds is celebrating its 60th anniversary and Space:1999 is celebrating its 50th anniversary. It is a fascinating and comprehensive display of iconic posters, toys, magazines, and other memorabilia from the two series over the years.
Here’s just some of the items on display:

There is so much more on display for these two iconic Sci-Fi series. If you are in London, you have to see this exhibit. It runs now through February 28th, 2026. For more information on dates, times, etc., check the Museum’s website.
While you’re there, you can check out the other items from other classic Sci-Fi media. Here’s just a few of those displays:

As you can see, the collection is quite extensive. It’s one of the most comprehensive collections I’ve seen in quite some time.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this short visit to the Museum and will visit if you go to – or live in – London. There are so many Sci-Fi themed things to do in that area. For other place to put on your “must-see” list, check out my article here.

Until next time, keep reaching for the stars.
