Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 105+ titles featured this week):
ADRIFT: COSMIC CONNECTIONS CRUISE : BIG SKY ALIEN MAIL ORDER BRIDES (INTERGALACTIC DATING AGENCY) by Elsa Jade
The three-sunset tour of the virgin Cosmic Connections Cruise is seriously off course…To forget her failed music aspirations on Earth, Remy McCoy accepted a free ticket on an intergalactic speed-dating cruise. She was going nowhere before, but with the Love Boat I adrift, she’s really going nowhere. She’d finally accepted that her love life is fated to be sour notes and awkward fade-outs, but now, stranded in the dangerous Zarnax Zone by a mysterious energy phenomenon, she’s stuck with a shipful of wanna-be alien mates—and a charming, cybernetically enhanced bartender whose silver half-moon eyes see her for who she once dreamed she’d be. Since his polluted planet was declared a closed world, Eoyen Ikaryo has spent most of his life drifting between the stars, serving on one ship after another with no place to call home. A bar of synthequer beverages between him and the Big Sky Intergalactic Dating Agency passengers shielded him from any romantic inclinations—until a red-haired, narrow-eyed Earther makes his augments spark and sing, shattering his plasteel walls of isolation. But as strange cascading disasters plague the ship, Remy and Ikaryo realize their ghost in the machine is something more existential than they ever could’ve believed—vital to the mission of the Big Sky IDA…and maybe their lonely, guarded hearts.
ONLY ROGUE ACTIONS: A GALACTIC BONDS BOOK by Jennifer Estep
A WOMAN WHO DREAMS OF THE FUTURE . . .Once upon a time, I was Vesper Quill, a lowly lab rat using my seer magic and engineering skills to repair broken appliances at a Regal-owned corporation. These days, I’m one of the most infamous and wanted fugitives in the Archipelago Galaxy, along with Kyrion Caldaren, my partner. Kyrion and I are hiding out on a distant planet when we are offered a chance to train at a prestigious facility in hopes of better understanding our truebond, the psionic connection that lets us share thoughts, feelings, skills, and more. Mastering our magic is the only way we can hope to defeat our many enemies and make my dreams of a safe future a reality, so Kyrion and I accept the invitation. But evil forces are at work, and our training exercise is not what it seems, plunging us both into another deadly situation with only bad options. A MAN WHO CAN’T ESCAPE HIS PAST . . .I’ve always been Kyrion Caldaren, a Regal lord with telekinesis, telepathy, telempathy, and other powerful psionic abilities. I might have gone rogue from the Arrows, the Imperium’s elite warriors, but my fighting skills are as sharp and deadly as ever. Vesper Quill and I need help with our truebond, so we agree to participate in a rigorous training exercise designed to test the depths of our connection. But a new enemy has other plans, and we’re soon separated and confronted with one dangerous obstacle after another. But my love for Vesper is stronger than any forces set against us, and I’ll do whatever it takes to make my way back to her—and kill anyone who gets in my way.
