Ted White, Former Editor of Amazing Stories and Fantastic, Enters Palliative Care

Sandra Bond is reporting on Facebook that Ted White has taken a turn and is now in palliative care, following a fall and declining health.

Ted was a fixture in Washington DC area Fandom and edited Amazing and Fantastic from the mid-60s to the late 70s, presiding over those magazines during some of its most successful years.

Sandra writes: “He no longer has access to his computer, of course, and has been struggling to work the tablet he’s now using instead.

I’m pretty sure, though, that he would welcome phone calls from any of the enormous cadre of friends whom he has amassed over nearly 75 years in fandom. If you need his phone number at Carlin Springs Rehab (room 116) message either me, or his daughter Arielle Kit White.”

Our best wishes on this journey, Ted.  Thanks for everything!
