Here is the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
(I had a new release myself this week…)
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first book or two (jump to the blog to see the approximately 50-70 titles featured this week):
HONEYMOON FOR THE ALPHA: A BADARI WARRIORS NOVELLA (SECTORS NEW ALLIES SERIES) by Veronica Scott
Thrown together as helpless prisoners in the punishing conditions of a Khagrish lab, Jill and Aydarr fell in love. Claiming each other as mates despite only having one night alone in a cell, they formed a deep, loving mate bond. Now, a planetary year later, after escaping the lab and leading the ongoing rebellion against the enemy together, Aydarr longs for more. He wants a chance to show Jill how much she means to him.
He decides to risk everything to take his mate away from it all for a few days. But will the Khagrish, the threats lurking in the planet’s unexplored wilderness and the Badari goddess allow them to complete A Honeymoon for the Alpha?
A 21,000+ word novella featuring Aydarr and Jill from the first book in the series.. Can be read as a standalone. Mild spoilers for the earlier books in the series.
TOXIC DUST (THE DEVIANT FUTURE BOOK 1) by Eve Langlais
The world outside the domes is a scary place, but nothing compared to the marauder who captures Laura. With one dark look, Axel promises violence, yet his touch is gentle. He shows her a different way of living. A new set of truths. How the ancients used to do things. Makes her want a forbidden thing called love. But can she leave her past and beliefs behind? The woman is trouble with a capital T. Yet the moment Axel sees her, rational thought disappears, and when she ends up in grave danger, he can’t stop himself from going to her rescue. Will he be in time to save her?
CAPTIVE (BARBARIANS OF THE SAND PLANET BOOK 2) by Tana Stone
It wasn’t bad enough that scientist Max Dryden was taken as a bounty by an all-female space bounty hunter crew. Nope, that was only the beginning. When the bounty hunters were marooned on a sand planet, she was captured by aliens and taken to their city. Now she’s got a personal bodyguard and captor watching her every move.
One problem. He’s not one of the aliens who took her. He’s one of the sand barbarians sent by the bounty hunter women to break her out and bring her back. Since she’s determined to find a way off the planet and out of captivity, he’s a very big and very hot distraction she doesn’t need.
His mission was to infiltrate the Crestek city, find the human female, and bring her back to his Dothvek village and the other women. Well, he found her all right. Now he’s serving as her personal guard, locked inside the luxurious suite in the enemy city, and trying to ignore the fact that the human scientist he was sent to rescue is a beautiful, intriguing female. Can he get them both out without being discovered? Or losing his heart?
