The Friends of the Merril Collection Announce “Crafting Worlds: Pitching, Publishing and Promoting Your SF/Fantasy Ideas”

The Friends of the Merril Collection are pleased to announce our return with a panel discussion on Saturday, Dec 6th at 2 PM on the topic of “Crafting Worlds: Pitching, Publishing and Promoting Your SF/Fantasy Ideas”.

Our speakers will be Oliver Brackenbury (author and editor of New Edge Sword and Sorcery magazine), Lloyd Penney (editor of Amazing Stories magazine) and Stephen Kotosych (editor of Year’s Best Canadian Fantasy and Science Fiction), who will delve into the challenges of writing, publishing, and selling genre prose fiction in a Tik-Tok dominated world.

The event will be held in the downstairs meeting room of the Lillian H. Smith Library at 239 College St, Toronto, on Saturday Dec 6th at 2 PM. A book sale to support the Friends of the Merril Collection will also take place at the event.
