Temple of the Capybara

It is said the meek shall inherit the earth.

But what if the earth ends up not being the earth we had hoped,
and the meek end up not being who we thought they would be?

Temple of the Capybara

When the War of a Thousand Days
brought an end to the reign of mankind,
it was Zen Master Capy
who created the first Temple of the Capybara.

When the Feast of a Billion Rotting Corpses
brought death and disease to every corner of the planet,
it was Zen Master Capy
who showed us the benefit of veganism.

When the Dawn of the Red Sun
brought an unrelenting heat that melted the ice caps,
it was Zen Master Capy
who told us to be patient and practice our paddling.

And when the New Age of the Capybara
brought marshlands as far as the eye could see,
it was Zen Master Capy
who told us to be fruitful and multiply for our time had come.
