Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 90+ titles featured this week):
COPPERHEAD (NAGA BRIDES BOOK EIGHT) by Naomi Lucas
I do not want a bride. They are difficult to protect. And those males who are mated have homes—clans. I have neither. My nest was destroyed. My territory usurped, and it is her peoples’ fault. Julia’s. The unmated female soldier within Zaku’s home. But when I discover nagas have arrived from across the land, and that she is going to choose one to help her get back to her people, I am unsettled by what she offers in return…Then hundreds of ships arrive. With the landscape changing, and the tides shifting, I must leave to find out what is going on. Except I am not alone. Julia will come with me. Because I do not want her to be with another. I refuse to imagine it. Even if the forest is dangerous, and it is entirely up to me to keep her safe, I will take her with me. But what if there is no safer place for her than in my arms?
THE UNMAPPED MOON (ENEMIES TO LOVERS SPACE ROMANCE BOOK ONE) by Helena Celbs
Lieutenant Jane Sheffield has survived eleven months on an unmapped moon — the crashed ship, the alien wilderness, the crushing solitude. She’s survived everything except the one thing she can’t bring herself to do: pull the trigger on the enemy soldier she spotted washing in a stream below her.
She missed her shot. She told herself it was the insect. Commander Conan Adras is Celanese. He is everything Jane has been trained to fight — proud, ideologically uncompromising, and completely unwilling to pretend the war that stranded them both here was anything other than what it was. When she finds him wounded in a makeshift shelter and offers him water instead of a bullet, neither of them knows what that choice will cost. Stranded together beneath a sky dominated by a ringed planet neither of them can name, with no rescue in sight and no neutral ground between their nations, Jane and Conan must build something out of nothing: shelter, survival, and — against every instinct — trust. What grows between them is fiercer than either expected. And far more dangerous. Because somewhere above this beautiful, unmapped world, the war is still being fought. And sooner or later, it will find them.
