Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 77+ titles featured this week):
AVA STARGAZER (PLANET XAI BOOK TWO) by Alissa Lace
VS Note: Book one needs to be read first per the author.
Ava lived her life on a spaceship in the stars. Now, she is a lone human in a world of others on Planet Xai. Despite the love around her, Ava is finding her heart is not as easily soothed. She still has questions about her past, and humanity, that remain unanswered. What does it mean to truly live?
For someone who never had a chance to before? Ava Stargazer is a direct sequel to Ava Greasemonkey. It is not a standalone. The Planet Xai series is an alien romance with a big plot, deep emotions, and love- in all its forms.
OBSESSION (WARRIORS OF THE DREXIAN ACADEMY BOOK FOUR) by Tana Stone
At the Drexian Academy, there are few rules. As a Blade instructor, Kann prefers pushing limits to following regulations. But he knows better than to fall for a cadet. That’s why he is only friends with Britta, a human cadet and brilliant engineer. It’s also why he agrees to help her when she develops a crush on a visiting Taori scientist. He can’t explore his feelings for her, but he can teach the bookish cadet everything he knows about the art of seduction. But with each tantalizing tip and sensual strategy, the line between practice and reality blurs. As much as he finds himself falling for Britta, she sees him as only a friend and teacher. Or does she? As they work together to protect the Drexian Academy and mount a rescue mission for a missing pilot, their secret lessons spark a fire that threatens to consume them both–and put the mission at risk. Will they break the rules or let themselves be broken apart?
