I have a new release to report this week too!
Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 99+ titles featured this week):
STAR CRUISE CHEF’S KISS by Veronica Scott
Five star chef Stephanie Clemmons has a contract to cater a Halloweenlike party on the planet where her cruise ship the Nebula Zephyr orbits. Little does she know the dangers of a night where alien demons walk among humans and never expects the deadliest demon of all to offer her a bargain. She has to cook a special dinner to satisfy him or spend the rest of eternity laboring in his hellscape kitchens. But as the night and the meal progress, Stephanie and the demon lord discover they both may be getting more than they bargained for, as undeniable attraction grows between them. Can an ancient Lord of the Underworld and a human chef find a way to make a new bargain for love? This story first appeared in the Celestial Seductions anthology, which is no longer available. I’ve added 6K words including an epilogue to the original story for a total of 17K words.
ALIEN KRAKEN’S PRIZE by January Bell
When I find out I’ve been selected for the Starlight Lottery, I’m sure my luck is finally changing for the better. Until I’m sent to an ocean planet… as an alien Kraken king’s freaking pet. Sure, he’s nice to look at, all muscley human on top and squiggly tentacles on bottom, but I’ve never been more bored in my entire life. Or as lonely. It isn’t until I find the stowaway in my luggage — a single, sentient tentacle that decided to hitch a ride from my old job— that the Kraken even realizes not only am I not a pet, but I’m also intelligent. When he figures out that I’m a female? Well, let’s just say maybe I am about to get lucky after all.
