Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 95+ titles featured this week):
FOREVER (ROGUE ALIEN WARRIORS BOOK 5) by Hattie Jacks
He’s watched her forever. She’s wanted him since the beginning. But the universe isn’t going to make this easy… Ryak is a strong, silent, drop dead gorgeous alien warrior, and he doesn’t even acknowledge my existence. But when he needs a fake mate, it means he’s going to have to choose me. I’m the only human female not yet attached to a winged alien warrior on this dystopian planet. I’m the only one who can carry off the pretence of being his mate at the gathering of the species where the fate of this world will be decided. The Gryn are expected to send a mated warrior and that’s where I come in. I’m only supposed to pretend to be his mate, and I can’t reveal my feelings for him, no matter how close he gets. He doesn’t know my secret. Not that I’ve been watching him since I arrived on this alien planet. Not that I’d give anything to be his. My secret is dark and deep. It’s about who I was before I was taken from Earth. And it’s the reason I can never be his.
RED RUNNING DEEP (A JANEY MCCALLISTER MYSTERY BOOK 4) by Beth Barany
VS Note: Author states there’s a slow burn romance…
On edge and desperately tired, Investigator Janey McCallister wants nothing more than to take bereavement leave to grieve a terrible personal loss. But when the high-end hotel-casino space station Bijoux de L’Étoile is struck by three locked-room murders, she must take the lead. When the murders turn out to be related to a top-secret case Sol Unified Planets inspector Orlando Valdez is investigating, Janey questions her entire purpose for working at the hotel. Janey finds herself knee deep in blood and heartache, running red and ragged toward a man and a case that might destroy her career. Can she overcome her need to control every situation and work with others to solve the case, or is Orlando using her for his own ends like he has before?
