Today is Martin Luther King Day

Today is a Federal Holiday, despite the fact that some states still don’t officially observe it.

Anyone who has ever seen or heard a recording of Doctor King’s “I Have A Dream” speech had to have been moved.

Doctor King’s work is still unfinished.

Within the SF community, more outreach still needs to be done.  You can do a little bit of your own outreach by engaging with these websites:

By reading nny number of authors – Octavia Butler, N. K. Jemisin, Samuel R Delany, Steven Barnes,  Nalo Hopkinson,  Nnedi Okorafor,  Tananarive Due, Andrea Hairston, Geoffrey Thorne, Nisi Shawl, and Carl Hancock Rux

and don’t forget the Carl Brandon Society.
