This first Meeting of Science Fiction and Fantasy Literature of Bolivia is organized by PENBOLIVIA and its subsidiaries of Oruro, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz and CAMARA DEL LIBRO of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
Date: Santa Cruz, 5 and 6 of June, 2015. The event to be held in the framework of the International Book Fair in Santa Cruz.
The objectives of this conference are:
* To promote reflection on the relationship between science and literary fiction.
* Lecture about the philosophy of science, grasp the limits of reality.
* Spread the Bolivian production of gender through conferences, exhibition and sale of books by authors in the area.
* Promote new studies of literature beyond the traditional genres.

Reflections on the choice of the narrator in the fantastic texts: strategies and effects.
* Prospective Fiction: proposal for a definition of the genre of science fiction
THEORIES OF FANTASY LITERATURE
* The fantastic as a destabilization of reality: elements for a definition.
* Relationship between literature Science Fiction and Fantastic Literature.
ORIGIN OF FANTASY LITERATURE AND SCIENCE FICTION
* From the fantastic (and neofantástic) components in the current Bolivian literature.
* Origins of science fiction and fantasy story in Bolivia.

PAPERS
Should may participate in the congress, writers, researchers, teachers booksellers, librarians, university students and people interested. In the case of domestic and foreign speakers, the meeting does not cover costs of accommodation, transportation or food.
The meeting is non profitable and the participation at all performances are free, and are within the scheduled activities at the International Book Fair in Santa Cruz 2015.

The writers who have published books of fiction (novels, short stories, essays and comics) can participate by presenting them at the conference, after coordination with the sponsors.

The estimated reading time work is 20 minutes per participant. Coordination for the provision of equipment (PC, notebook, projecting, etc.) with the organizers, should be done in advance.
Iván Prado Sejas , escritor, crítico literario, poeta, gestor cultural y ensayista. Recibió en 1998 el premio literario del Ministerio de Educación de Bolivia con su novela corta en quechua “Inka Kutimunña” (“El Inca se ha vuelto”), en la cual describe la toma de poder por los indígenas

En Cuento y Relato ha producido: Los Sueños del Padre (2017) y Vuelo hacia el Infinito (2020). Coautor de las Antologías de Cuentos: Las Remotas Edades, Las Imposibilidades Posibles, I Antología de Ciencia Ficción Neoindigenista, Sueños y Encanto, y Realidades y Ficciones: Cuentos y relatos de Tarata. Ha publicado cuentos en antologías, revistas, sitios web y blogs literarios
En Poesía ha producido poemarios: Dulces Fragancias para Pilar (20214), Arawi Valluno (2010) y Mujer Eterna (2011). Asimismo, ha publicado poemas en la revista bilingüe ILLA (2015) En Antología de la Poesía Quechua. 3ra. Ed., (2014) de Hermógenes Ortuño y en la antología Poesía Quechua en Bolivia (2016) de Julio Noriega Bernuy. Igualmente, ha publicado poemas en revistas, blogs y webs literarias.
En Novela, ha publicado: Inka Kutimunña (1998), Las Amazonas, Poder y Gloria (2006), El Crepúsculo en la Noche de los Tiempos (2008), Samay Pata (2012), Hananpacha (2014) y Operación Ruphay Kutimun: La liberación de Prometeo (2023)
Ha escrito crítica literaria, reseñas y ensayos en la revista norteamericana Amazing Stories. Ha publicado sus trabajos en diferentes blogs, revistas y webs.
Es docente universitario en la Universidad Mayor de San Simón, Past Presidente de PENBOLIVIA y PEN Cochabamba, y Presidente de PENQUECHUA. Ha sido Coordinador de la Asociación de Escritores de Ciencia Ficción y Narrativa Fantástica – SUPERNOVA.
Es Psicólogo, formado en la Universidad de Brasilia, con Maestría en Dirección y Administración de Empresas, Terapeuta Gestalt y Docente Universitario.
En el campo espiritual es autodidacta, y ha investigado obras de esoterismo, espiritualidad, misticismo, biografías de personajes espirituales y otras que enriquecen sus obras. Ha incursionado también en las áreas de la Exobiología y la Exopsicología, habiendo presentado trabajos en diferentes congresos. Ha publicado un libro con dos ensayos de Ideas sobre conciencia humana y conciencia alienígena (2021).
