Amazing Stories begins publication of its first new issue since 2005 today with the reprint of Don Wilcox’s The Voyage That Lasted 600 Years.
Today’s story was selected by JM Stine of FuturesPastEditions, and marks the first of many Amazing Stories Classics reprints that the ebook publisher will supply. Don’t miss her introduction to this story – the first ever generation ship tale on record.
Over the course of the month of April we’ll be rolling out many other pieces of fiction, accompanied by some great artwork. We’ve gathered together a selection of fiction from regular contributors to the Amazing Stories blog – some new, some reprinted, including several award-winning and nominated works.
You ought to recognize some of these names, while others will be new to you. Our selections in this issue represent an eclectic collection of science fiction, fantasy and horror, not to mention a few pieces that are flirting with the edge.
To give you a taste of things to come, we’ll be featuring fiction from Don Wilcox, Ricky L. Brown, Michael A. Burstein, Jack Clemons, Duncan Long, Nina Munteanu, Ira Nayman, John Purcell, Felicity Savage, John M. Whalen, and Douglas Smith.
We’re also featuring some fantastic artwork from Duncan Long, Derek Benson and Daniel Brandt.
Publishing this issue opens up a whole new section of the Amazing Stories website. You’ll find out magazine contents under the MAGAZINE tab at the top of the page. From there you can select an issue, open the table of contents and select a story or an article to read.
We hope you find our 88th Anniversary Issue fun, entertaining and enjoyable.
