Amazing Stories’ assessment of “Genre Penetration” of streaming services is – film currently has a “weak” 50% (few genre assets are SFnal, the majority being horror/thriller in this case) while television is showing a “stronger” weak 50% as well.
Interestingly, the Just Watch streaming charts seem fairly reflective of genre in the rest of the world, with horror steadily beginning to eclipse fantasy, which of course did its own number on science fiction. When the “Romantasy” shows and films begin to dominate….
