Author John Varley has passed.
Varley passed at his home in Beaverton Oregon, surrounded by family, from complications of COPD and diabetes.
A multiple award winner, the author is perhaps best known for his stories The Ophiuchi Hotline, the Titan series and his short story Persistence of Vision (In the Hall of the Martian King).
