The Martian Trilogy: John P. Moore, Amazing Stories, Black Science Fiction and the Illustrated Feature Section is NOW AVAILABLE!

(Quick note: as of this posting, the print edition had not yet gone live, but the eBook edition is available. This will change soon.)

Finally, the book you’ve all been waiting for is now available for order!
Visit our store and check out the incredible recovered history of this early Space Opera trilogy of stories originally published in The Illustrated Feature Section and distributed to Black newspapers all across the country – in 1930!

John P. Moore’s stories were very likely move popular than E.E. “Doc” Smith, Jack Williamson and Edmond Hamilton’s space operas of the same era, as the IFS had a circulation far in excess of any of the pulp science fiction magazines.

Lost for nearly 90 years, these stories fill in an early chapter of both Black science fiction and science fiction literary history in general.

With accompanying essays by some of the leading Black Science Fiction authors working today, this book features Moore’s stories, the original illustrations that accompanied it (enhanced by cover artist John Jennings) and additional supporting materials.

Quite frankly, your knowledge and understanding of the science fiction genre will not be complete unless it includes The Martian Trilogy.
