ROBERT A. HEINLEIN (Anthrophobia) Challenge – Ends 3/31/2025

Find the Robert Heinlein Easter Eggs and other references in – Anthrophobia by Matt Truxaw and win free books. 

There are several references within the book to my favorite author, Robert Anson Heinlein, many consciously and perhaps a few unconsciously.  I’ve been reading Heinlein for so long that some of it may be baked into my subconscious.

Challenge Rules:  

  • Download a free Kindle copy of “Anthrophobia: A Teacher’s Tale” on March 1, 2 or 3, 2025.
  • book cover: Anthrophobia by Matt Truxaw
    • You can purchase the book anytime, but the free download will only be available on March 1, 2 and 3
    • For the rest of the month of March, I will make the Kindle Download 99 cents
    • Always free if you have Kindle Unlimited
  • Read the book
  • Make a list of all Heinlein related references, include:
    • page # or chapter/section
    • a brief quote from the passage
    • how it relates to RAH
  • On or before 3/31/2025 – send that list to matttruxaw@gmail.com
    • The list must be in plain text in the email.  
    • No attached documents or links will be opened.
  • Timeline to determine winners will depend on the number of entries, but I should pick winners no later than April 30, 2025
  • The prizes will be awarded based on:
    • Number of actual references found
    • If tied, the number of details you include in your “how it relates to RAH” section
    • If still tied, I will arbitrarily decide the winner based on a randomizing method such as a roll of the dice or the flip of a coin.

Whether or not you decide to enter the challenge, Go ahead and grab your free download, and I would appreciate it if you read Anthrophobia and write a review of the book on Amazon after you read it.

This challenge is being run by the author, Matt Truxaw. It is his sole responsibility to administer the challenge and to provide appropriate prizes.  Amazing Stories and AmazingStories.com are not parties to this challenge. If you are an employee or contributor to AS, you are still welcome and encouraged to enter.

Winners will be contacted shortly after they are determined. No personal information other than a valid email address is required to enter the contest.

To receive Kindle prizes, a valid email address will be required.

For hard copy book prizes, a valid US address is required.  A kindle version can be substituted for a hard copy if the winner is outside of the USA.
