was released on February 1, 2025, by Amazing Selects, I realized that when we
described one of the characters as trans, it seemed a good idea. Trans is a genuine
human state, and when we wrote the book, it was already drawing fire from
conservatives. By publication time, the situation was much worse. President Trump was
actually doing his worst to pretend it did not exist and even to erase “gender ideology”
from the language. I therefore decided to promote the book with a series of fictitious
“news” posts on FaceBook. I began with Florida and its book bans.
