We at Amazing Stories are thrilled to announce the results of our recent readers poll! As you may know, we launched a new weekly story feature some time ago, and the response from our readers has been nothing short of phenomenal. Our team has been blown away by the talent and creativity of the writers who have submitted their work, and we are so grateful to everyone who has taken the time to read and engage with these stories.
Without further ado, we are excited to share the winners of our readers poll!
The competition was fierce, but in the end, Heather Santos’s story “Hope You’ve Enjoyed the Journey” emerged as the clear favorite, with a whopping 26.8% of the votes. This touching tale of love and revolution on a future Mars captured the hearts of our readers, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see it take the top spot.
Interestingly enough, Heather originally submitted this story for our (unfortunately) unsuccessful Kickstarter Sol System issue. However, we were delighted when she elected to submit it to our weekly fiction feature instead. Clearly, it was a wise decision!
Of course, we can’t forget the two runners-up who gave Heather a run for her money. Andrew Hiller’s “Time of the Critic” came in a close second, with 24.4% of the votes, while Jenna Hanchey’s “Love Planted in the Night Sky” rounded out the top three with 12.2% of the votes. All three of these talented writers will receive our coveted Amazing Stories enameled metal lapel pin as a token of our appreciation.
But that’s not all! Heather, as the overall winner, will also receive our brand new Readers Choice Award pin, which is a stunning design carved out of brass. We can’t wait to see her wearing it with pride!
Once again, we want to thank everyone who participated in our readers poll. Your engagement and enthusiasm mean the world to us, and we can’t wait to continue bringing you more amazing stories in the weeks and months to come. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to check out “Hope You’ve Enjoyed the Journey” and all the other incredible free stories on our website.
Who knows – maybe your favorite will be the next one to win our Readers Choice Award!
