Future Worlds Prize 2023 is now open for entries!
We’re looking for unpublished SFF writers of colour for this year’s Future Worlds Prize. From magical stories to tales set in space, dystopias and fantasy realms, whatever kind of SFF you’re writing, we want to read it!
To enter the prize, you need to submit:
-a 5,000-10,000 word extract of either a short story or the opening chapters of a novel
-a covering letter
-a short summary/synopsis of your work, of no more than 1,000 words.

Key dates for the 2023 prize:
- The prize opens for submissions on Monday 31 October.
- The prize closes for submissions at 11.59pm on Monday 6 February.
- The shortlist will be announced in March 2023.
- The winner will be announced in May 2023.
