Borys Sidyiuk (our Ukrainian Fan Friend) sent along notice that the Ukrainian SF author Max Kidruk, a rising SF Star, presented a reading of his latest New Dark Ages: Colony in Kyiv to one of the largest audiences I’ve ever seen at an SF book reading.  (Borys promises more images that we’ll publish right here.)  All the more reason to sign that petition protesting a certain genocidally-minded Russian author’s selection as the Chengdu Worldcon’s GoH.  (Cause if he had his way, things like this presentation would not happen, if I really need to make such a point.)

Farah Mendlesohn announced on the JOF (Journeymen of Fandom) Facebook page that Dream Foundry announced that Con or Bust is has started a new initiative to bring “Palestinian Fans” to Worldcons, funded by a donation from Farah herself.
