New Releases in Science Fiction/Fantasy/Paranormal Romance for JAN 4

Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.

As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.

Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 90+ titles featured this week):

Being a single mom is the hardest most heartwarming job in the world… and sometimes out of it! When Cadence learns about a free day care center for single moms in her neighborhood, she thinks it’s too good to be true. But the teachers are amazing, and her son is thriving. There’s only one problem. In order to keep him enrolled, she has to agree to do some missionary work… off planet. It’s a pretty good deal: amazing off-world travel and exceptional daycare for Mason, all in the company of the school family she has already come to love. Cadence and the other moms are all onboard for the adventure, until they arrive to learn the real reason they are on Soltero. The watery frontier of Soltero is drowning in desperate single men. And these lonely dragon shifters definitely expect the women to fulfill positions other than missionary. Cadence is shocked when the hulking beast of a man she was told would be her host informs her that he wants her for his mate. R’hys is powerful, strong, and more than a little scary. But there is something about watching him soften to her son that makes her think he might have a softer side he reserves only for them. And if she’s honest with herself, she can’t deny the way the big gorgeous alien makes her feel when he fixes her in his possessive gaze. Cadence is willing to play along for her son’s sake. But how can she protect her own heart when R’hys Zaar is stealing another piece of it every day with his hard body and hungry eyes?

VS Note: I’m very excited for the Astrological Mates Series but so far only half of them  have been released. The other six will release on JAN 30.

When Mariya is transported to a primitive city on an alien world, the native people immediately push her out into the mountainous forests to search for her ‘fated mate’. Mariya is determined to avoid him and find a way home, especially when they warn her he’s ‘gone feral’. Feral isn’t the word! Ardek is a muscle bound, shape changing, bad tempered, foul mouth Satyr on steroids! When Ardek took on the role of protector, little did he realise his fated mate wasn’t among his people. Without the balance to the wrath and rage of his beast, Ardek has lost his way. But now she’s here. Impossibly small and delicate, Mariya meets his wrath with her calm, his rage with her steely determination. Mariya is hell bent on going home. But as Ardek shows the person he is beneath the beast, she finds the future she had planned on Earth has less of a pull, and perhaps, the stars aligned for a purpose.
