Karen Lynn Davidson passed away on May 19th, 2017, following a long battle with cancer.
Unknown to most, Karen was a huge supporter of Amazing Stories, providing emotional, psychological, creative and financial support.
Karen is survived by her second husband, Steve Davidson, by two sons from her first marriage to Jeffrey Edwards – Scott and Eric, and four grandchildren, Carter, Dylan, Andrew and Monica.
She is also survived by Bo the Wonder Dog; her long time companion cat, Stimpy, pre-deceased her.
Grave side ceremony and a celebration of Karen’s life will take place on June 3rd in Hillsboro. (More details forthcoming.)
The family wishes donations in Karen’s name be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and or the as yet uncreated Karen Lynn Davidson Memorial Award.
Karen Lynn Davidson, 59, of Hillsboro, died at 6 AM, Friday, May 19, 2017 at her home in Hillsboro. She was born April 8, 1958 in Melrose, Massachusetts, to Rosario Robert and Patricia Giglio. She married Jeffrey Edwards on July 12, 1980 and he survives. On September 19, 2002 she divorced and re-married Steve Davidson on August 8, 2005 and he survives.
Also surviving are her sons Scott M. Edwards of Hinsdale and Eric R. Edwards of Hillsboro; her brother Robert Giglio of Washington; four grandchildren, Carter Edwards of Hillsboro, Dylan Descoteau, Andrew Lindsell and Monika Costello of Hinsdale.
Karen’s father and mother preceded her in death.
Karen was a long time resident of Hillsboro. She graduated from Hillsboro-Deering High School in 1976 and was employed for many years as a Quality Inspector by New Hampshire Ball Bearing; she also worked as a production manager for the local specialty newspaper Paintball News and was her second husband’s partner in several business ventures including the online magazine Amazing Stories.
Services will be held at grave side at Pine Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro, at 10:00 AM, June 3, 2017, followed by a celebration of Karen’s life.
Memorial contributions may be made in Karen’s name to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, NHOH, 40 Buttrick Rd, Suite B, Londonderry, NH 03053 or to the Patreon account for the Karen Lynn Davidson Memorial Award.
I’ve been away from the site, Steve, and have only just seen this. I’m heartily sorry for your loss. I know what an enormous source of support Karen was for you and Amazing Stories. All sympathy to you and those around you.
