The weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 110+ titles featured this week):
RESCUED BY THE ALIEN CORSAIR: STAR MAVERICKS BOOK THREE by Iona Strom
The void of space is nothing compared to the abyss of her absence.
The vast expanse of space calls to my adventurous spirit, the very essence that defines me as a Star Maverick. Not even the throne of Klaxis can rival the liberties of a space pirate free to roam the stars.
After coming to the aid of a fellow Maverick to liberate a spaceship of human females from the clutches of a loathsome Lizordian reaver, one fiery beauty stirs the feral beast slumbering deep within me. Her very presence disrupts the core of my existence, leaving me to struggle against the primal urges of my sivot and the inevitable pull of a fated mate.
GUARD (BARBARIANS OF THE SAND PLANET BOOK 11) by Tana Stone
Stranded on an outlaw planet. Hunted by alien mercenaries. Saved by a beautiful woman he cannot touch. For Dothvek warrior Rixx, things have gone from bad to worse. After being snatched by Zevrian mercenaries in the Den of Thieves and surviving a disastrous rescue attempt, he wakes up in a strange bed being nursed back to health by a beautiful woman. Even worse? His ship is gone because he’s been presumed dead. Now he’s alone in the treacherous outlaw city as more mercenaries hunt for him. His only hope is the alluring woman with a young daughter who’s determined to help him. Despite Rixx’s usual reputation with females, this one is off-limits. She has a mate, even though that man left long ago and never returned. It doesn’t matter how much he desires Myrria, she can never be his. Rixx needs to focus on survival. But what happens when the survival of Myrria and her daughter is put at risk, and he’s the only one who can save them? But only if he pretends to be Myrria’s mate and share her bed.
