According to the latest from JustWatch, Genre flicks make up three of the top five films, though the top slot is still occupied by the Cruise-fest Top Gun: Maverick; Nope (which we recently watched and found ok but not spectacular – and even a bit confused if you must know) comes in at number 2 and Everything Everywhere All At Once hangs tough at number three.
On the short-subject side, genre penetration is still flirting with 30 percent penetration, even despite the recent introduction of Sandman. This take is a little off as recently Sandman jumped to become the number one streaming show across all….streams, while House of the Dragon is taking a bunch of critical hits.
