Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 115+ titles featured this week):
HUNGER IN HIS BLOOD (BRIDES OF THE KYLORR BOOK THREE) by Zoey Draven
I’ve loved Kaldur of House Kaalium since the first moment I laid eyes on him. He’s a sinfully charming, lore-smoking playboy with a smile that makes me see stars. As the High Lord of Vyaan, his vast power and wealth extends throughout the entirety of our nation—and he’s as untouchable as he is devastatingly handsome. Me? I’m a lowly human keeper on his grand estate. An orphan with no family. A dreamer, who lives in the adventure of my own fictional stories. I couldn’t be more beneath his notice or unlike the plethora of pretty, clever socialites who warm his bed. For two years, he has no idea I even exist…until one afternoon, a tiny cut on my palm changes everything. He discovers that I’m his kyrana, his blood mate. The one female that will sate his vampiric hunger and calm the berserker rages of his race. I thought every dream I’d had was finally coming true—my winged prince finally come. Until Kaldur breaks my heart so callously, reinforcing every pain and insecurity I’d ever had. And when he realizes his mistake and sets his mind to winning me back? He’ll have the fight of his life if he thinks I’ll ever give him my heart again.
DOUBLE BIND (COSMIC MATES BOOK SIX) by Cara Bristol
Marshall Clark III never meant to hurt Amity Landers. But the clone indentured to Dark Ops couldn’t allow his attraction to a beautiful woman destroy his sole chance for freedom. Having inadvertently put her life in danger, he’s willing to marry her so she can gain sanctuary on planet Refuge. But is she grateful? No. Instead, the formerly sweet, enchanting woman has turned bitter and angry and seems intent on making his life miserable. Fortunately, the Cosmic Mates marriage contract provides an escape clause. However, he’s locked in for a year until he can regain his freedom. Terminally unlucky in love, Amity Landers still had high hopes when she met the handsome, charming Marshall Clark. But after a magical first date that swept her off her feet, she’s crushed when she discovers the Dark Ops agent used her, faking interest to obtain the information he wanted. And worse, contact with him jeopardized her life. The only recourse is to accept his grudging offer of marriage, which will enable her to get asylum. But she’ll be counting the days until she can break free of her fake, pity marriage. When even friendship seems out of reach, can two people in a fake marriage who hate each other find true love before time runs out?
