This coming Thursday/Friday (Thursday night going into Friday morning), provided that you have at least partially clear skies overhead, if you step outside at about 2:29 am, eastern time, you’ll see the Blood Moon as the Earth’s atmosphere cuts sunlight to its longest wavelengths, casting a blood red pall over the moon.
Totality is at 2:29 (the shadow covers the entire visible surface of the moon). The entire event will last from and will last for about and hour and five minutes.
