Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 85+ titles featured this week):
FATED TO THE ALIEN HERO (WARRIORS OF TAVIKH BOOK SEVEN) by Erin Hale
Evren – I never expected to find a human female lying broken and beaten in the middle of the forest while out hunting. Especially one who touches me and triggers my mating marks to appear and ignites my soul light. When I discover her life is in danger, I will do everything to protect her and earn her trust. Most importantly, I must earn her love. Not an easy task, because my keeshla has been hurt. But I will remain patient, because she is worth it. Astrid – For three years I’ve hoped and prayed for someone—anyone—to help me. Not once did I picture my hero to be a seven-foot, lavender alien with flowing golden-white hair who tells me I’m his fated mate. Evren is everything I ever wanted in a man. He’s kind. Loving. Protective. He also makes me feel as though I’m the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. There’s only one thing that stands between us. My abusive husband.
CHAINED (GLADIATORS OF THE GRYN BOOK FOUR) by Hattie Jacks
Feral and lethal, this alien gladiator wants me…and my baby. The two blue lines weren’t the last things I saw on Earth, but they may as well have been. Knocked up and abducted, I know how lucky I am to have landed a job with a horned alien arms-dealer where my accountancy skills come in surprisingly useful. However, I can’t imagine my new employer is going to want to keep me on with a baby in tow. And when the massive, ridiculously handsome, winged gladiator growls MINE…I know I’m done for. Maxym worked out my secret in a single glance and the last thing I want is for him to go blabbing it everywhere, but my hope to avoid the dome for the foreseeable future is dashed when we win the contract to supply weapons for the games. And I’m going to be the one doling them out. The more time I spend with Maxym, the more I see through his feral nature and desire for violence. The more I see a damaged creature who desperately wants to heal, and wants me, and my baby, even more. I shouldn’t give in to my desire to be loved by someone, no questions asked, but as my heart warms to him, I begin to see a future for us. And then the invasion of Trefa begins and it’s all wiped away in a single moment…I’m not sure if I’ll ever see Maxym again and my own chances of survival are tiny. That is, until someone growls my name in my ear…and I have to hope it’s my gladiator come to save me…or else all is lost.
