Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 103+ titles featured this week):
FATED TO THE ALIEN PROTECTOR (WARRIORS OF TAVIKH BOOK SIX) by Erin Hale
Abby – Orphaned and raising my little brother on an alien planet had never been part of my life plan. Yet, here I am. Experience has taught me not to rely on or trust anyone, especially men. So when one of the native alien warriors rushes in to “protect me” from a guy in our human settlement, my response is anger. Soon after though, circumstances force me to move to the Tavikhi village. As I find myself spending more time around Rojtar, I begin to realize he might be the one man I can trust. Rojtar – Since before the cold season, I have watched five of my tribe brothers find their keeshla—their fated mate—among the human females. It is something I wish for myself more than anything. When I come across a human female being intimidated by a worthless male, instinct makes me step in to defend and protect her. A feeling—a knowing—of some kind tells me Abby is my mate. Her distrust of people makes me act with caution though. Despite my overwhelming desire to touch her and see if she triggers my mating marks to appear, I will not. Instead, I must do all I can to earn her love.
THE KNOTTY CLAUSE (HORNED HOLIDAYS) by Honey Phillips
Lured by the promise of steady work, Gemma accepts a job at a remote mining claim, only to find that both she and her young son are virtual slaves to the greedy mine boss. When a desperate attempt to escape finds them caught in an unexpected snowstorm, she thinks all is lost – until a very large and very not-human male appears and rescues them. Their savior is gruff, reclusive, and unexpectedly kind. He offers them a refuge – as long as they don’t intrude on his privacy. He even draws up a contract, but the longer they stay with him, the more Gemma wants to break every one of his rules. Ever since his ship crashed on K.R.S. Three, Yede has concealed himself in his mountaintop hideaway. A life alone with his memories is better than risking more heartbreak – until he rescues a fragile, tempting human woman and her determined little boy from a snowstorm. Now the icy walls around his heart – and other important parts – are beginning to thaw. Can he find the courage to take a second chance on love, despite the risks?
