According to File 770, the Worldcon Heritage Organization is hoping to raise enough dollars to successfully bid on an upcoming auction for the very first Hugo Award ever given out, as well as another early Hugo, a special one given to Hugo Gernsback.
Donations to the effort are being accepted (I’m planning on sending them a few because if I can’t have these for myself, Fandom ought to have them), but it is requested that you not do so publicly, as no one wants to give other potential bidders a heads up on what the limit might be.
