New Releases in Science Fiction/Fantasy/Paranormal Romance for JAN 17

Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.

As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.

Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 80+ titles featured this week):

WED TO THE ALIEN ROGUE (ACCIDENTAL ALIEN BRIDES BOOK EIGHT) by January Bell

Sure, he’s my husband— but we’re only friends. The minute our commanding officers assign us to track down the Roth and missing human women, I know it’s a setup. Just my huge husband, Aeroz, and me, together, in a small space ship for however long it takes? Yeah. It’s definitely a set up. But Aeroz is an absolute gentleman —er, gentlealien— and not only do we get along great, but we’re also a good team. He’s a great sparring partner, he’s charming and funny, and I love beating him at whatever Earth or Suevan game we play before we go to our respective beds at night. Everything changes, though, when we have to pretend to be on a lover’s vacation to blend in on a space station in our hunt for the Roth. The tension heats up until I realize maybe… just maybe, Aeroz might be more than a friend. Much more. We have a job to do, though, and it’s dangerous. The Roth are headed to Earth again, and we are the ones closest enough to stop them from mounting another devastating invasion. We don’t have time to be distracted by love. Or is love exactly what we need to save the day?

CROUCHING WOMAN HIDDEN DAGGER (NOT YOUR MAMA’S ALIEN ROMANCE BOOK THREE) by Alisha Sunderland

The things a girl’s gotta do to marry the alien love of her life. Leave my new found home in the midst of an Interplanetary war, so we can travel to his home planet: Check. Try really hard NOT to jump my soon-to-be husband’s sexy bones while we participate in his people’s version of a wedding : Check. Remember my promise to everyone I care about to keep calm and not get stabby: Maybe check. As I navigate a new planet while trying to learn Rema’s culture and traditions – while avoiding

assassination attempts and catty females – our friends are scattered to the far corners of space, and the enemy is making their next move. The pressure is on to find our happiness while we can…I just hope Rema’s ready for a lifetime with me and my psychopathic tendencies and my need to fully enjoy every bit of his gorgeous *ahem* body. Because after all this, when I finally get my hands on.. it, there is zero chance I am letting him escape. So to recount..Get married Bang Return to our ship – bringing support from the Neldre if I have anything to say about it.

Reunite with my girls Move towards putting the Unity out of business for good. Yeah, simple right? It’s a good thing I’m so calm and totally sane, or someone would get redrum-ed…kidding
