Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 70+ titles featured this week):
RESCUED BY THE ALIEN VHAR-KHYNG by Bella Blair
Holly One minute I’m about to give the lecture of a lifetime, the next I’m being swept away by a vortex, straight into Earth’s past. More precisely, millions of years into its past. Lost, lonely, and afraid I walk through the strange landscape wondering what will kill me first: an ancient predator, hunger, or an infection. One morning it looks like a saber-toothed tiger will be the winner and I surrender myself to the inevitable, until suddenly—out of nowhere—a stranger appears, saving me from the jaws of the beast. A stranger who looks like he should be here as little as I should. Do I entrust my fate to this man? I don’t seem to have a choice when he carries me caveman-style into his home. Thor’Steyn: My world was decimated by the malicious Manx. Forced onto a prison ship, it didn’t seem as if my life could get any worse. Until the ship crash-lands on an alien planet. Believing I will be bereft of a fated mate for the rest of my life, I unexpectedly encounter Holly, a woman whose courage rivals the legendary warriors of my home planet. In her eyes, I see a soulmate and a beacon of hope in this savage world. Will she accept me as her mate? Will we be able to carve out a living on this harsh planet of hers?
ALIEN’S STOLEN REBEL by Leslie Chase and Starr Huntress
Rachel may be desperate to escape the clutches of the aliens who kidnapped her, but desperate enough to trust a pirate? Just because Kreel is tall, sexy, and muscular doesn’t make him a good guy. No matter how much his burning gaze ignites her desire or his smile makes her heart flutter, Rachel is determined not to fall for his charms. Kreel came here to steal a spaceship, not to have his heart stolen by a feisty human female. But Fate has other plans, and once he sees Rachel, he can’t take his eyes off her. Helping Rachel escape Warlord Frax’s grasp is a foolish risk, but Kreel didn’t become a pirate to play things safe.
