Apple announced the premiere of their new streaming service yesterday at a star-studded presentation at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, CA.
Among the announcements was the reveal that AppleTV+ would begin streaming this fall.
Spielberg was on hand to tout the latest incarnation of his TV show version of Amazing Stories, stating:
My Amblin team and I are going to be resurrecting this 93-year old brand and offering a whole new batch of amazing stories.
(emphasis added)
We’re happy for Steven but
Resurrect?
Ummm, like, HERE WE ARE!
Three new issues in to a new print version, 6+ years since we rolled out the website bearing the name that now has close to 45,000 registered members, not to mention a baker’s dozen of books bearing the title.
If any one wants to remind Spielberg that Amazing Stories is a going concern, you can use the address below:

I just put this on Twitter, in a retweet of a Variety tweet about Steven Spielberg and Amazing Stories https://twitter.com/PaulLev/status/1110677993100320768 ‘Here’s another thing about Spielberg’s statement that ‘My Amblin team and I are going to be resurrecting this 93-year old brand & offering a whole new batch of amazing stories.’ Actually, Amazing Stories has already been resurrected”
Let’s hope he gets consistently good scripts. The original TV version was kinda spotty in that regard.
