I just stumbled on this great little explanation about black holes and portal travel. The video is pretty self-explanatory.
Black holes are a great source for exploration, and make exciting story material. I am always amazed at how science not only inspires fiction, but that fiction often opens doors for scientific study, as if the two walk hand in hand.
But then, I’ve said this before. It’s the imagination that triggers exploration. All Science Fiction fantasy buffs know this, I’m sure. As an author of fantasy (with some science fiction tossed in the mix) it’s my goal to convince non-fiction readers to open the door to their imagination where it’s been closed before. Imagination is the door to exploration, for if we don’t wonder what grand experiences await us outside our homes, we don’t step out our front doors.
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”
And as an author of fantasy who loves slipping in science into her stories, learning more of what scientists discover about black holes and portal travel will be an element in my next novel.

I’m an award winning artist, author and screenwriter who spends a lot of time in a fantasy world, writing, painting, and creating artistic what-nots to post everywhere I can.
I’ve dabbled in film-making. Local indie filmmakers and I have created a few short adaptions of my books.
I’m a lover of the classics, both visual and literary. Prone to pick up a paperback over a digital copy. I believe a story should be good enough to hand down from one generation to the next.
