Take a nap this afternoon because you’ll want to be checking out this evening’s Double Meteor Shower during its BEST viewing time – 4 AM.
The Southern Delta Aquariids and Alpha Capricornids meteor showers are set to both peak at roughly the same time (they’re going right now, but you can’t see them in the daylight). Those in eastern locales of the US should expect to see at least 10 meteors per hour at peak.
More details here and at the American Meteor Society (who knew?)
It’s a perfect time to practice your routine for the Aquariids, coming in August!
