In the Hugo Awards Short Program Eligibility Arena, the following


This week, genre penetration of streaming television shows is at 30%, with a bump for the highly touted and arguably genre-adjacent “Shogun” (a potboiler from the 70s, based upon historical events and played with several times within the SF and Fantasy fields.)


And, from the Hugo Awards Long Program Eligibility department – in film, genre penetration drops to 20%, with nods to two more offerings – Oppenheimer and American Fiction – for additional arguable adjacentness (how’s THAT for alliteration?).
