New Releases in Science Fiction/Fantasy/Paranormal Romance for FEB 7

Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.

I had a new release this week as well!

As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.

Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 95+ titles featured this week):

ROKHAN: A BADARI WARRIORS SCIFI ROMANCE NOVEL (SECTORS NEW ALLIES SERIES BOOK 18) by Veronica Scott

Cinnthea Damone was kidnapped by alien scientists who assigned her to a rogue Badari Alpha as his unwilling consort. Rescued by the other Badari packs, she’s now living in Sanctuary Valley and doing her best to fit in. She makes the Badari uncomfortable and the humans gossip about her. The improvements she suggests in various areas like the Stores are rejected and cause more animosity. Only one Badari Warrior becomes her friend but the abuse she suffered under the late rogue Alpha makes her wary of allowing any closer ties. The situation becomes intolerable and she flees the valley.

Rokhan, enforcer of the South Seas pack, realizes too late how much Cinnthea means to him and that she’s not merely a friend but his fated mate. When she leaves the valley he insists he be allowed to go on a solo hunt to retrieve her.

Aided by the Badari goddess, Cinnthea has gone much further than anyone would have dreamed possible and found a surprising haven far to the west. She learns a secret which the enemy will go to any lengths to uncover. When Rokhan arrives to take her back to the valley and proclaims her to be his mate, she’s torn between what her heart wants and her fears fueled by her past experiences. Can she overcome her trauma and find a future with Rokhan? Can they survive what the enemy plans?

HER ALIEN BODYGUARD: STRANDED ON EARTH: THE PREQUEL by Ivy Knox

Traveling to Earth and blending in with humans is a lot easier than it sounds––especially when you’re an alien dragon shifter. The year is 2007, and Luka Monroe and his brothers have just crashed their space pods in a wooded area outside of Boston. They have two primary goals: to find their fated mates and to keep their identities a secret. They’re confident both can be accomplished until they realize just how little they know about the human race. Luckily, Luka quickly learns he has a special power that allows him to hypnotize humans into giving him what he wants. They go from rags to riches within days, giving Luka a boost of confidence when he finally meets Harper O’Connor, his mate. For some reason, Harper is the only one he can’t hypnotize, and his lack of social skills is a huge turn-off for her. But when she goes out on a disastrous date with a sinister, untrustworthy man who won’t leave her alone, Luka steps in and offers to be her bodyguard. The more time they spend together, the closer they get. But the moment Harper starts realizing she can’t live without him, something frightening happens to Luka, tearing them apart. Luka can’t bear to lose Harper, but what will it take to convince her to accept the beast inside the bodyguard?
