Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 90+ titles featured this week):
WORSE GUY by Ruby Dixon
VS Note: Yay, a new Ruby Dixon series!
Crulden the Ruiner is the most dangerous gladiator in the galaxy. I’m his clone – equally ugly, equally dangerous, and just as feared. I’m also being held captive, since no one trusts a creature like me to be let loose. A curvy, determined human named Bee doesn’t think I’m a creature, though. In fact, she thinks I just need a guide. She’s got half the males on this planet eating out of her hand, and she’s confident she can do the same with me. The managing little female has no idea what she’s in for. I’m not some fool to be led around by my tail. But…the champion in me loves a challenge. A champion also wants to win a prize. So I tell Bee I’ll go along with her plans if she kisses me…right on my tusk-filled mouth. I never expected her to say yes.
FALLING FOR AN ALIEN ELF (HOLIDAY WITH A CU’ZOD WARRIOR BOOK 2) by Ava Ross
Blue-skinned, scaled aliens are settling on Earth, and Emily signed on to be a sponsor. Likir will work at her animal rescue, and she’ll help him transition into Earth society. But after her jerky ex cuts off her animal rescue funding right before Christmas, Emily’s scrambling to find donors. When Likir spontaneously offers to be her fake date to secure tickets to the annual Christmas Costume Ball where she’ll find donors galore, she accepts. Since their relationship is fake, can she keep her hands off this appealing Cu’zod warrior? Before Prince Likir moved to Earth, he ditched his royal status, determined to succeed on Earth under his own merits and not those of his illustrious family. He doesn’t expect to find his sponsor the most appealing female on the planet or to find himself pretending to be her boyfriend. The more he gets to know her, though, the harder he falls. Can he convince Emily to make their pretend romance real?
