John M. Whalen’s Where the Space Pirates Are offers us a look at the intriguing world(s) at the intersection of pulp and science fiction.
Mr. Whalen has been exploring genre-mashing for a number of years now (westerns and vampires, law-n-order in space). Today’s space opera tale combines two of our favorite things – space opera and pirates. After all, in the future there really are only two career choices: space marine and space pirate.
We tend to think the pirates have more fun.
