Professor James Gunn, Grand Master of Science Fiction, author, historian and science fiction icon is now a philanthropist.
According to the KU Endowment website, Professor Gunn has contributed 1.5 million dollars for the establishment of the James E. and Jane F. Gunn Professorship in Science Fiction within the Department of English.
