The deal for worldwide rights was negotiated by Angry Robot Senior Editor Lee Harris and Boatman’s agent, Rasheed McWilliams of the Kneerim & Williams Literary Agency, and includes two books: Last God Standing (Spring 2014) and Who Wants to be the Prince of Darkness?(2015)
About Michael Boatman
Michael Boatman spends his days and nights pretending to be other people. For a living. He’s acted in television shows; China Beach, Spin City, ARLI$$, Anger Management, Instant Mom, films; Hamburger Hill, The Glass Shield, Bad Parents, and Broadway plays. After many years in his chosen profession he’s decided to chuck it all and seek his fortune as a writer. (Just kidding. He secretly dreams of changing the world as a talkative mime.)
As a writer, Michael has published a short story collection, God Laughs When You Die, whilst more short fiction has appeared in anthologies and magazines such as Weord Tales, Horrorworld, and the Dark Delicacies and Dark Dreams series.

CAN-CON – The Conference on Canadian Content in Speculative Arts and Literature, will be held on October 4 to 6, 2013 at the Minto Suites Hotel, 185 Lyon Street North, Ottawa.
CAN-CON is Ottawa’s premiere Science Fiction and Fantasy gathering celebrating the written word. This yearly event brings together readers, writers, scientists, publishing professionals for panel discussions, workshops, presentations, readings, book launches, networking opportunities and to have fun.
The Aurora Awards are presented annually by the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association. The award categories include literary works, art work, fan activities and are given out at gala awards banquet.

The Conference on Canadian Content in Speculative Arts and Literature, welcomes science fiction editor as Editor Guest of Honour.
Hayden Trenholm is a two-time Aurora Award winning author and editor and the owner of Bundoran Press Publishing House. In 2012, he created and edited the acclaimed anthology, Blood and Water: Canadian stories of near future resource conflicts, which AE Science Fiction magazine heralded as “the birth of a new genre.” In 2013, he ran a successful crowd sourcing campaign for Strange Bedfellows, an anthology of political science fiction which will appear in 2014. Bundoran Press will publish three novels in 2013 and ‘four or five’ in 2014, in addition to the Strange Bedfellows anthology. Convention attendees will have opportunities to pitch science fiction novels to Mr. Trenholm during the weekend.
