Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 75+ titles featured this week, definitely seeing a dip from the usual number, due to the holidays):
STOLEN BY THE BARBARIAN: PRIMAL MOON BARBARIANS BOOK THREE by Iona Strom
Imprisoned for discovering an unspeakable truth, lies were spread portraying me as a monster. The only monsters on Zune lurk in perpetual darkness, having retreated to where the light never touches the ground. Despite my years as a warrior elite, even I fear what lies in the blackened abyss beyond the sun’s rays. Regardless of the dangers, not even the horrors prowling in the shadows will stop me from doing whatever it takes to keep her safe. She is mine to protect!
HIDDEN IN PREDATOR PLANET by Vicky L Holt
As the architect of IGMC’s AI VELMA, CeCe Pain stumbled onto a secret so dangerous, she knew she had to act, even though it would trigger rippling consequences throughout the universe. Plagued by guilt over the lives her decisions have affected, she yearns for freedom, only to be overtaken by an incomprehensible horror that could break her forever. Now her life hangs by the thinnest thread–one woven with both love and hatred. If she makes it out alive, she’ll face the hardest choice any human could make: to become a monster at the price of her own humanity, or to let a cunning evil overrun everyone she holds dear. Raxthezana knows the missing human is not his fated heart mate and yet … he feels an irrestistible connection from across the sister planets. Unlike most of his kind, he believes the only power that can save her before she becomes a fragmented memory lies with him. To achieve his ends, he makes an unthinkable choice that may haunt him forever. But if it means the clever and untouchable woman lives, he will die content. Forced down paths of impossible sacrifice, they will be hunted to the ends of Certain Death by vicious and merciless enemies. Only love has the potential to save them from a bloody finale, but on a place called Predator Planet, will it be enough to overcome the monsters that surround them? In a universe where only the strong survive, love is a weakness that leaves you vulnerable–or it could be the power that overcomes everything. Even death.
