Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first two books (jump to the blog to see the approximately 97+ titles featured this week):
ALIEN HUNTER’S CAPTIVE (FATED MATES OF THE XAATHIAN BARBARIANS BOOK TWO) by Presley Hall
To escape my captors, I’ll have to pretend to fall in love with one of them. But what happens when the lie starts to feel real? When the leader of the Uleki tribe decides to sell me off to another tribe known for their particularly brutal ways, I know I need to escape before we reach their village in the mountains. So I decide to seduce one of the Xaathians assigned to transport me, hoping he’ll let his guard down enough that I’ll be able to slip away. The only problem is, faking a connection with Zaid is too easy. Although he belongs to the same tribe that’s kept me captive, there’s something different about him. It’s in the way he looks at me, the way he speaks to me, and the way he seems so protective of me. As we make our way up the mountain, attraction sparks between us… and even though I know it’s all supposed to be fake, I can’t help the way his touch lights me on fire. But can I ever truly trust this barbarian warrior who should be my enemy? And what will happen when he discovers my deception?
HUNTER’S BOUNTY (XARC’N WARRIORS MOUNTAINS BOOK SIX) by Lynnea Lee
SAMMIE – On the run in a brand-new world. Luck has been on my side since the space bugs came and destroyed everything I knew. Now, my luck has run out. Cast out into a dangerous new world with a psycho on my tail, I have to adapt fast to survive. To add to my problems, I’ve caught the eye of a purple monster, and everyone knows the alien warriors are bad news. But this one comes barreling in on a clearly man-made war machine, then claims he lives with the very people I’m trying to reach. Should I believe him? Or is this all just a trick? DRAK’L – I’ve finally found her, and I’ll never let her go. I’ve watched as each hunter in my group found his mate among our human allies, but I know my mate is not one of them. Eager to meet the female who will be the center of my universe, I set out in search of her. When I finally find Sammie, she’s terrified of me. Unlike the females at the clubhouse, she still believes the lies that are spread about us. Desperate to prove that I live with the very humans she wishes to join, I return in one of the humans’ war machines, with gifts to woo her. Can I convince her to come of her own free will? Or will dangers force me to steal her away?
