Volition Premieres at FrightFest London

a new horror film comes to the screen

The mind-bending science-fiction thriller, VOLITION, directed by Tony Dean Smith, plays at London’s legendary FrightFest on August 24 , 2019. We interviewed the Smiths recently about VOLITION — and are happy to share their latest trailer in the run-up to FrightFest.

Among its awards, VOLITION has won BEST FEATURE at the Philip K. Dick Sci-Fi Film Festival, BEST SCI-FI FILM and BEST SCREENPLAY at the Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival, and BEST DIRECTOR and ACTOR at Rome’s OSTIA FILM FESTIVAL. It is nominated for seven awards at the upcoming FilmQuest, including Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor.

Written and produced by Tony Dean Smith and Ryan W. Smith in association with Paly Productions, VOLITION is a gritty science-fiction thriller about a man afflicted with clairvoyance, who tries to change his fate when a series of events leads to a vision of his own murder. The film stars Adrian Glynn McMorran (The Revenant, Arrow), Magda Apanowicz (You, Caprica, KyleXY), Aleks Paunovic (Snowpiercer, War for the Planet of the Apes, Van Helsing, Dirk Gently), John Cassini (Seven, Continuum), Frank Cassini (Watchmen, Good Fellas) and Bill Marchant (Chappie, Strange Empire).

VOLITION aims to reach fans of intelligent sci-fi. Reviewers are already likening it to classics such as LOOPER, MEMENTO, and INCEPTION.
