“Greetings! Welcome to SciFi4Me.com – where we talk science fiction, not wrestling. “

I ask you how can one not love a sci-fi based website that has that as the first thing you see on their homepage? It certainly got my attention. I know I overuse the term “geek” or “geeky” sometimes, but I’m proud to be one and think that the rest of us should be, too. Clever openings aside, the website is a veritable treasure trove of sci-fi geeky goodness. Hours can be lost – in a good way – traversing the pages of SciFi4Me.com.

On the homepage there are always several large block images with titles like “GRIMM Walks Like An Egyptian”

or the latest news about the new Star Wars film

or newest animated feature in the works. As you scroll down the page, you come across condensed teasers for articles in chronological order of posting. There are items on anime, comic books, cosplay, technology, etc. from every genre – written, television, movies – you name it, it’s there. If you can’t find a topic of interest, you’re just not looking – or you’re outside the realm of all sci-fi.

As if that wasn’t enough for even the most avid fanboy or fangirl, you can click on the links at the top of the page and access SciFi4Me TV, Radio, Lit, and the page that lists nearly every convention and event across the globe.

SciFi4Me TV is pretty neat all on its own.

There you will find a list the YouTube playlists for each of the webshows available.

One of the shows is Comic Con Carne which extends the focus of the comic book industry, giving you all the news you need to know about what’s happening with your favorite comics. Another is The Grid, a the monthly video game news program. One of my darlings is Salacious Crumbs, the latest gossip, rumor, and innuendo – and even sometimes a bit of actual news. Others include Week in Review, 8 Bits, and a few semi-regular shows, as well.

Stop it you say? Not yet. There’s still more. SciFi4Me Radio has several really great podcasts where they discuss more geeky-good topics – trends in sci-fi, movies and TV, gossip, etc. and even a touch of sarcasm now and then.

Some podcasts are dedicated to specific areas – Level Eleventy-Seven is about Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. while others simply discuss the news of the day, sometimes filled with spoilers so let the listener beware!

There’s more! As a writer of horror genre myself, and being a big old school, one of my favorite parts of the website is the SciFi4Me Lit. It houses links for a collection of sci-fi and fantasy literature that is either public domain or available for free online. It also gives links to other collections and outlets for free literature. A lot of the titles are classic fiction from the likes of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Mary Shelley, Jules Verne, and H.G. Wells, just to mention a few names. In other words, the quintessential works that everyone who claims to love sci-fi and/or fantasy should read.

So click on the logo below and check out my new discovery, SciFi4Me.com and revel in all its geeky goodness. Go on, I dare you!
