Fan Fotos is, today, a bit of a misnomer, since what we’re actually displaying are some sketches, some roughs and some completed panels of artwork prepared by Troy Boyle for David Gerrold‘s comedic mashup – A Doctor for the Enterprise.
The completion of this project (the comic will be offered as a limited edition collector’s print run AND published here on Amazing Stories) has been fraught with circumstance right from the very beginning; David would never have been in a position to offer this comic to Amazing had it not been for circumstance. On the artist’s and publishers end of things – family and health issues – more circumstance – has interfered.
But Troy is making fine progress, the results of which you can see for yourselves below. FINE progress. We’re all awaiting the completion of the art with great anticipation!
Why run this under Fan Fotos? Well, these sketches and illustrations are kind of foto-like and of course, who isn’t a fan of Star Trek and Doctor Who?
