Draconid Meteor Shower Peaks Tonight

Beware of fiery meteorites filled with glowing green goo….

The Draconids (so named because they appear to originate in the constellation Draco) will peak tonight and tomorrow night and should be visible, weather permitting, to the entire continental United States.

Where does it come from?  Cometary debris.

What does it mean?  Could be heralding the apocalypse, but more likely it’s a typical display of the forces of nature and physics.  (On the other hand, if a giant fiery ball from the sky impacts the ground, pops open and reveals a greenly glowing viscous interior, it’s probably not a good idea to poke it with a stick.)
