R. K. Troughton

troughton rkR.K. Troughton has worked in the engineering field for twenty years, developing cutting edge products that are the first of their kind.

He has co-written a screenplay with one of the world’s leaders in the research of artificial intelligence, Dr. Hugo de Garis, and has placed in the quarterfinals of the prestigious Nicholl Fellowships, which is presented each year by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

He studied writing at the University of Kansas under the direction of James Gunn, where he also enjoyed the tutelage of Frederik Pohl and others.

Troughton developed a deep affection for Amazing Stories and the history of science fiction during his time at KU.  While working with scientists on tomorrow’s inventions, he actively weaves his own imagination into screenplays and prose.
