Writer Leah A. Zeldes has been reading science fiction since she could read. At the age of 13, she stumbled into the marvelous microcosm known as fandom, and never looked back. She’s published numerous fanzines, including the Hugo-nominated STET; worked on scores of conventions; and been a Down Under Fan Fund delegate.

Professionally, Zeldes has been an award-winning journalist for some three decades. Formerly managing editor of Chicago’s erstwhile Lerner Newspapers chain, she is now a freelance writer, and specializes in food, entertainment and travel coverage for a wide array of publications.

Zeldes also writes short stories and poetry; her list of published science fiction is short but choice.

As a professional blogger and media consultant, Zeldes blogs daily for Dining Chicago and serves as the blogmaster behind Frederik Pohl’s The Way the Future Blogs. She is available for writing and editing projects of all types.

Zeldes divides her time between Chicago and Milwaukee.
