D.L. Gardner

gardner dianne lynnDianne is an author and illustrator of YA adventure, urban and historical fantasy. Building worlds that might resemble the forests of her home in the Pacific Northwest, or the shimmering deserts of Arizona, add to that a pinch of magic dust and a few million stars and you just might find the portal to another Realm.

Happily married to a man that puts up with her celestial wanderings and wonderings, she is the mother of seven lovely adult children, grandmother to sixteen gorgeous boys and girls, and a great grandmother to one.

Dianne loves writing, painting in oils and living in other dimensions. She finds life much more colorful that way! Her books are loved by both children and adults. There’s a shared camaraderie, something akin to what C.S. Lewis said about someday being old enough to enjoy fairy tales again.

Dianne currently (2017) seven books self published with more on the way. Her first volume Ian’s Realm Saga is a compilation of an adventure fantasy trilogy published in 2013 which follows the adventures of a young man who steps through a portal on his computer and is lured to a deceptive mountain, abducted and enslaved by dragon worshipers, and must unravel the mystery of the dragon’s wrath. The sequels to that series are Diary of a Conjurer and Cassandra’s Castle. The latter is in pre production as an Independent TV series.

Other books include An Unconventional Mr. Peadlebody, a comedic horror about a dysfunctional vampire family attempting to solve a murder mystery, Altered, a dystopia novel about a government seeking to control people through the food they eat, and Pouraka, an award winning underwater romance that reveals the plight of sea life through the eyes of a mermaid.

Her most recent release (2017) is Thread of a Spider, an historical fantasy in which two teenage siblings enlist the magic of the Fae to win the war in Ireland.
